One of the first ideas developed for this record, the final track was performed with an arpeggiator I’d built around two 2hp Modular VCO modules, the Intruō i-ō47 filter, Harmonàig, and a Qu-Bit Cascade running into an EarthQuaker Devices Monarch distortion, the Electro-harmonix POG2 and ChaseBliss MOOD. It’s the most vivid example of the soundscapes I’d set out to create illustrating my experience of isolation and still reminds me of a distant and otherworldly party happening in the periphery. The spatial ambiguity and lack of physical presence is the inspiration behind the name.
